IF YOU go down to the Botanic Gardens on Sunday be prepared for a big surprise as members of the Furries gather for the second annual day out in the park.
Event organiser Hayden Grant, aka Bingo Fox, said he had been overwhelmed with the positive reaction to the event, with furries from Brisbane, Sydney and even as far away as Kalgoorlie in Western Australia registering to take part.
It's been surprising, I've been overwhelmed really," he said.
Mr Grant said holding the day outside in a community venue could be the appeal of the event.
"Often Furries events are held indoors so we've made it a bit different," he said.
